Just one question on the theater / McDonald's idea... what do you feel would bring people to patronize such a concept when they would not patronize the theater on its own. From what I have read and heard on forums such as these are that a number of people do not like McDonald's in general, so I am not sure that is even a plus to draw a crowd to any theater in that location.

With McDonald's operating, managing and maintaining the complex, I suspect even those that are not big fans of the restaurant would be more likely to see films (especially family friendly ones with promotional toys in their Happy Concession Meals) in Lakewood.

The only reason we ever went to the Detroit Theater was; It was close; It was cheap. Otherwise, it was cold in the winter, hot in the summer, in need of updating, maintenance and a good cleaning...and the concessions were nothing special. (I'm sure this was not always the case and have heard that the owner wanted to get out much sooner but there was no buyer until now.)

It will take money and passion to pull this idea together. McDonald's has money, Lakewood has passion.
