I have seen those clouds many, many times while racing a 30 ft sailboat on Lake Erie and 90 percent of the time, it would be prudent to put a reef in the main and bend on a storm jib. I have this song in mind with howling wind, the driving rain and huge waves that are inevitable. Looking up 05.15.2019 the clouds were thick...
... then started to break up...
...then cleared...
... but by then Jupiter the star of last night's sky was long gone, so the Moon filled in.
