The thought that our country would not be bankrupt (I took that to mean zero national debt) and have jobs a plenty would never happen. That also made me laugh. We've had a national debt since 1939 (I believe) and it has only increased.

You need to be a Congressman Kucinich understander. I do not agree with everything he says
or does. But when you talk with him and/or his staff you can at least see the logic in the
action or thought. Which to me, in Washington is refreshing. He is not voting for or against anything because of a check he received.
No matter what you want to believe, when GWB came into office, the deficit was headed
towards being paid off in 5 years. The conversation at the time was would a ZERO deficit
be good for the USA? It had never happened and some were seeing it as an end of the
USA. Of course this was insane as we all know when our bills are paid we have more money
for the things we dream of owning.
The War in Iraq was a total fraud, as was the War in Afghanistan. It makes no sense to
declare war against Afghanistan, for what a Saudi national, who was on the CIA payroll,
living in a remote cave, did to America. Throw in the decline of poppy production, and
the gas pipeline to the Caspian Sea, and you can see the need to drum up a reason. Today
we are fighting in Afghanistan, so that Pakistan can get the USA to crank down on India,
and that is about it. It has nothing to do with our security, but the security of Pakistan that
has nukes, so we listen and play.
So you take a country headed towards Zero debt, and remove the most expensive war we
have ever fought, and you can see a glimpse of where America could be. A completely
different scenario to where we are now.
Now I am not willing to say that a trillion would have been put into work, energy, lifestyle,
etc. because most of that war funding was borrowed from your children's future, and their
children's future. But with no national debt, and no interest, we could have really moved
forward with education, and innovation.
As I said the estimate is more than $2 billion has been drained out of the 10th district in
the past 9 years. Where would this region be had we been able to actually use that for
issues in the region.
No matter how you look at it The War, and what has flown since, has nearly destroyed
America's future. The 10th District is part of America. Congressman Kucinich voted no, and has continued to vote no. He also was one of the few asking "How will this bank
bailout money be spent, and how will the stimulus money be spent." These are completely
rational questions from a rational person that fools love to paint as crazy.
Dr. Kampe loves to go to the UFO card. When we all saw him answer, "I saw something in
the sky, I could not identify it" then was asked would you call that an unidentified flying
object? To which he answered, "Well yes, I would have to." I think we all would have said
the same thing, which was the truth.
If the region has one problem we have an honest congressman, and an even more honest
senator. Hence no bridges to nowhere, no six lane roads to apartment complexes they own. Our congressman yearns of retiring back in Cleveland in the neighborhood he grew
up in, as does our senator. In a country filled with crooked, bad politicians, we have two
Mr. Smiths. In the end, how can we not be proud of them.
Love him or hate him, he got a majority of the votes and certainly deserve more
respect than Dr. Kampe is willing to show. I really disliked GWB, but he was President Bush.
