Here's a really interesting article by RFK, Jr., that outlines the efforts of the GOP to block the vote.

Sounds like the RNC has taken a page out of Obama’s playbook:
CNN wrote:In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.
As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.
The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.
"That was Chicago politics," said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. "Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right? It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice."

Obama Campaign Workers Withdraw Ohio Votes
Tiffany Wilson reporting from Columbus, OH (2008-10-24 16:05:03)
Thirteen Ohio Obama campaign workers withdrew their registrations and ballots for the 2008 General Election in Franklin County.
The individuals signed a standard form letter to the Director and Deputy Director of the Franklin County Board of Elections.
October 24, 2008
Dear Messers. Stinziano and Damschroder:
I hereby withdraw my registration and ballot for the 2008 General Election in Franklin County, Ohio.
Sincerely,
Joi Bass
Joye Purser
Tom Reynolds
Sebastian Cervantes
Lucy Boyle
Stephanie Lake
Olivia Alair
Lucas Fleischer
Michelle Duff
Amy Crawford
James Cadogan
Issa Abdulcadir
Tom Rosenburg, an attorney for the Obama campaign in Ohio, told me that Jake Smith's ballot was also withdrawn in Knox County.
He said Obama has roughly 700 people working in Ohio. I asked him if anyone else was withdrawing their ballots in other parts of Ohio. Rosenburg said the campaign was instructing people to follow the laws of Ohio.
