The "Third Movement" that Palin is part of is definitely different but it is no way connected to Jim Jones.

Maybe you just misread things, there is a Bob Jones, but not Jim.

I honestly had not heard of the term "Third Wave" until just today. As you could probably tell by the fact I called it the wrong thing.

I have not done as much research on the topic as I should, but it appears to be a misdirected belief system.

My cheat sheet for life is the Bible, (although I mess up A LOT) and I have never read anything in it instructing followers to do anything like this.

The Spirit came once and that was right after Jesus ascended into heaven. The only thing believers are to wait for now is the 2nd coming of Jesus.

It just goes to show that anyone can be charged with anything and some will abuse that power. Karma is a bitch.

I guess putting up with people telling lies about you and trying to slander your name IS part of politics. I just thought it was the part that people hated and turns regular people off. But don't you worry, I am for one am not detered and I doubt Palin is either.

Ask anyone who knows me. I believe it is a waste of time to argue with anyone who have a firm belief, base in their own truth, knowledge, and experience. I am a soft seller, you want to get involved and I will help you do that.

As I have stated before, I find it ironic that the people who claim to be the tolerant, open-minded people seem to spew as much venum as those they claim to hate. Most of the discussion is based in stereotypes and prejudices-on the extreme of both sides.

I just refuse to accept that treating people horribly is somehow acceptible when they are running for office or when they generally disagree with you.

We are "politics". We set the standard. And as Dr. Phil would say-How's that working for ya?

I hope for a heck of a lot better than what we have no matter who wins.

I have no idea what you were charged with and how it related to this post or to Palin. I also think it is funny that a different opinion than yours is seen as venom. Instead of answering a solid question of what you believed in you went on to criticize people not even running for office. Boy no wonder you tried to get into politics, great at spinning things, but still all I read is nothing. No answers. Nothing positive about Palin. She just represents you somehow. Well for the rest of us, she doesn't respresent ONE thing that we believe in and do not want to allow her unadmirable parenting skills or religion views, or wanting to break free from America views (man that is Patriotic), or anti-sex ed views, or anti-abortion views, etc. Most women in America do NOT relate to her but instead of any valid argument for her, you attack the women on this deck. And then cry when anyone strikes back.

Last I heard Sharon wasn't in law and order so don't think she could have been the one to charge you with anything.

I was not calling you out on that if you thought that. I didn't know much myself so was asking if you had an opinon. There are a lot of off views with her.

What you see as venom is fear for our children's future. Have you looked around? Eighteen years ago I had a child in a time of nothing but hope, and now with my younger two I fear. Because of what our own government did. And while the right spew fear from terrorists, they have the nerve to present us with a candidate who just got her first passport and knows nothing about foreign affairs!!!! I know we have different parenting styles but safety comes first. That is the ticket to hell. McCain wasn't so awful until he picked her. This is OUR nation, OUR taxes , OUR lives, so don't mistake passion for venom. Venom would be the thing full of hate for lifestyles or religions other than one's own!

You need to talk to an attorney and find out what slander.

I would agree with you that some of her beliefs seem different.

I do not agree with her 100% and I surely do not agree with McCain 100%.

Here are some of the issues/reasons I like about Palin.

-Pro-Life - She actually walks it - had a mentally retarded child - and knew it was coming and made a choice to not kill it.

-She opposes embryonic stem-cell research - thankfully there are many many alternatives that are showing to be effective without the moral issues.

-She opposes physician-assisted suicide

-She opposes same-sex marriage

-She is pro-gun

-She has had executive experience - some is better then none

-She wants to finish what we started in Iraq

-She has stood up to corruption even within her own party - I can imagine there is a lot in Washington

-She started off as a normal person - isn't ivy league type

-Has a history of cutting taxes

-She is a fighter

-She brings energy to the base - which is why she is being so heavily attacked in the media, IMHO

All of the candidates, on both sides, have flaws, I believe in the ideas on the McCain/Palin ticket more then in the ideas on the Obama/Biden ticket.

In my opinion this is the easiest race to decide on, the candidates are almost polar opposites. Those that are "undecided" either really must not be paying attention or they really don't have any beliefs at all.

We will see in a few shorts weeks what the majority of people believe.

Even though I don't share the same beliefs (obviously) I respect that you actually know what she stands for and share the same beliefs. While I disagree, I do agree that many Americans have their eyes closed and their heads up their you-know-what and thought they could keep walking around shopping. Now that that has changed, along with buying cars and getting student loans everyday, maybe some more will open their eyes and wake up and realize what is going on around them.

Ryan I also appreciate you saying what you respect in her but one thing you said irked me a bit. You said she started off normal-isn't Ivy league type. I'd counter that Obama also started off "normal". And what exactly is wrong with being normal and being Ivy League. I have many friends that through hard work were able to go to Ivy League schools, all of them came from middle class working families. So do you have something against people that work hard and end up bettering themselves and getting into Ivy League Universities?

I've said it before and I will say it again, I want to vote for a president that is incredibly intelligent, I'm not so confident in an average Joe for that high of an office.

Actually I would think more Americans could relate to a man who came from a single parent and not silver-spoons that bought his way into Ivy League. For crying out loud Bush got out with a C!!! Obama completely exemplifies what brains, hard work, and heart and soul can do. And he sure beat more odds being black, than if he had been born into a rich, white family. I completely have respect for McCain in his military service and prisoner of war, but I don't have agree with his other stances. Where did Palin go to school and for what?
