I don't know what Mason has, through the investigation, but I would be more than stupified if this creep ever walks the streets again. SAy what you will about innocent until proven guilty, but given the current temperment of juries, the nature of the crimes, the writings and journals, not to mention Mr. Slife's interview, he's going away forever.

(and given what I understand to be the attitude at prisons about child molesters, forever won't last very long)

My friend Jan wanted to post the following, about one of DiStasio's friends last night but... she forgot her log-in info. (Her computer, where she had the info. stored, took a nose-dive and had to be replaced .)

We received news yesterday from a law enforcement officer in Salt Lake that DiStasio's pedo pal Frank Rey Lucero pleaded to multiple charges for offenses committed against little boys. Lucero will serve 20 years in Federal Prison.

Don't lose hope, Jim, that DiStasio will serve a lengthy prison sentence. Of course it won't be nearly enough. Nothing could possibly be enough - considering what he's "alleged" to have done and his selection of victims.

With Lucero, I know this: He nearly walked, until we contacted the DA's office and I, then, FedEx'd 10 lbs. of his own pennings.

The point is, as simple as it may seem: People do have to be pro-active in protecting children and in reporting suspected abuse.

Where DiStasio is now is a far cry better than where he'd be if not for the people who reported him .


And: What I've noted about Lucero can be verified at the SLC DA's office website "Pending Cases" as well as the jail roster and doing a Search on his name: http://www.slco.org/JailRoster/ Enter his last name and look for Lucero. (It's Frank Rey Lucero). Then, click on his Prisoner ID link. It will state: US Marshal Detainer.

Too, every time we see that an arrest has been made involving one of DiStasio's perv friends, we don't hestiate to pass along the info. to the respective agencies so that cross-referencing takes place.

It not always a matter of it having to be a child's word against a suspected perp's. Salt Lake City law enforcement just proved that .

I'll be so thrilled when we get the word that DiStasio will be spending the rest of his life locked up. I know it will happen just like it did to Lucero. I wish his sentence had been longer but he'll be close to 60 if he ends up serving the majority of his sentence and survives with no attempts on his life.
