National Take a Selfie with a Cop Day - maybe not a crazy idea.
I don't fault the precautions they took downtown because of all that led up to the event. And it has been so far, so good (or maybe so great) on that front. But I'm not sure I'll ever understand the purpose of those signs at the Lakewood parks. Not only was it poor optics, but it was poor communication.
Maybe something as simple as "During the RNC there will be increased police and camera surveillance. Know the park rules and if you see something, say something. Call the Lakewood Police at 216-521-6773."

It might be worth mentioning that I saw no signs of the sort found in Lakewood at Edgewater Park. This was Tuesday and all was well.

Boom! Great approach.

I'd like to react to this image, but I'm not quite sure what Corey is trying to say. Is he implying that those of us who have criticized the signs want no rules? Is he serious in what he has put on the image? Or is trying to make a joke? Subtle humor is difficult to pull off on the internet.
I prefer to think he is being critical of the city's preoccupation with signs, and I'd applaud him for that. But I can't be sure.

I think it's a rather witty mock on the excessive list of rules, a gentle poke at the PR dark art of sloganeering, and a deft use of photoshop

That's what I thought, but I'm never sure with Corey.

Mr. Rossen is NOT a maniac.
