Oh, the irony!
If I was suing someone claiming they made me look bad in public, why would I want that suit and all the details plastered on the Internet? There's stuff in there that's horribly embarrassing.
With friends like Corey, you don't need enemies!

Maybe that is why I don't have friends on the Deck, am a moron (your title for me) and am a 1 man team.

Cudos to Jim O'Bryan. Jim owns the this site and could easily shut down any of the comments that have been made. Why would he allow Rosen, et al to freely make the kind of comments they have? Because he values freedom of speech above all. He also knows that when the truth comes out, he will be cleared and the ugly truth of misconduct at city hall will be in plain site for all to see.
Jim O'Bryan is not afraid of the truth. I wish I could say the say for his detractors.

Why is on my account, then? What does he fear? What is he looking for? How long has been doing this? If a city official has an account here, how many times has Jim been in their account? What is he looking for there? What does he fear?
It is great of Joim to own a business as you stated, it is questionable about how he runs it.
So many answers about privacy and security on the Observer Project he, and other admins, have refused to answer or address.
They fear the answers.

What exactly is in this vault that you keep referring to as "your" account? Your bank passwords? Your secret admirer notes?
The LO policies are here:
http://www.lakewoodobserver.com/forum/u ... mode=terms
http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=privacy
Since you agreed to sign up here and participate, you surely realize, that just like ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE INTERNET, you show an IP address. You also voluntarily gave an email with which to reach you. THATS IT!
If you are so concerned about your privacy, maybe you shouldn't be on the Internet. Every place you visit captures your IP. Your computer keeps a history of your visits. Your cell phone logs you all day, sending information on your location and what you are doing with your phone.
If you are so concerned with your privacy here, and your so called "account," an easy solution is to either quit posting, or remove yourself and your "account" from the site.
But I suspect that would be too much for you - mama enjoys the drama.

Correy,
If the deck ceases to exist, I hope you'll be the first to replace it with your own forum. No doubt your forum would be just as professional.

Mr. Rossen, do tell one juicy item that is in your private account. We amateurs want to learn at the feet of the master how to best leverage the vast, hidden, unknown, unused resources of our LO account?

You do realize this is not my lawsuit, right? Essi and those involved knew about this long before I did, they just kept it to themselves.
Your gang talks about seeking truth, I just posted it online. How you feel about the truths surrounding your Yoda doesn't matter to me.

the zombie hoard has spoken...privacy doesn't matter when it comes to the deck. it's something to be laughed at. at the buzz or Cleveland.com, privacy matters not so much. ok got it. geez, I've learned so much today about privacy

tell you what? didn't you just tell me that since it's the internet that one has no expectation of privacy? so what do you care about my privacy? or anyone else's for that matter? after all, it's the internet. keep asking questions though, your circular logic is better for my brain than a crossword puzzle.

There's an old, somewhat cynical maxim in journalism that "freedom of the press belongs to those who own one."
That needs to be interpreted a bit for the digital age, but I think it still hold true, and Jim O'Bryan shows incredible, almost unbelievable restraint in sharing that freedom with others. Let's keep that in mind on Independence day.

If it is truly freedom, how does anyone "own" it? Let alone, Jim.
Didn't realize you praised the Jim God.
