It just depends who you are in favor of as to which approach you support. You're easy to figure out, just hard to please.

Dumbing it down again, and wrong.

The people that lost by 47 votes did not "go away" some of them are the heart and soul of this debacle. I would say Debacle is the hallmark term of their projects.

The people in favor of the hospital, like the people in the lost in the westend are free to do whatever they want legally, I don't care but it bothers the hell out of you I guess.

In both cases, all I asked for was transparency and honesty, same thing both times.
I was pro-Westend until the lies from City Hall got overwhelming, I didn't care about hospital until lies from city hall were over whelming.

Twist away my friend, but people that are not willing to demand honesty and transparency out of government, are fools, in my humble opinion.

Easy to please, elected officials, city hall management, don't lie when on the clock. Seems pretty simple.

My vision includes a banjo and moving forward. At least there is a banjo but I fear not all can hear it.
Sounds like Deliverance
Ha! I never thought of that.

I have been very skeptical of a lot of things in Lakewood over many years. Some have come true and others have panned out.

I thought it was interesting when they knocked down the old fire station, KFC, Burrows, a movie store, a couple of banks and several other storefronts for high end shopping in central Lakewood. I was optimistic. The intent was good but years later... the parking lot is always full, at least.

I thought they were out of their minds when they started re configuring schools, construction plans, renovation ideas and intentions. The results have been fantastic.

It is hard for some to look past the current state of affairs but it must be done to move forward. Optimism can be difficult, but possible.
So other than just "moving forward" for the sake of forgetting the past, what is your vision on your "heart-healthy" idea? Can you offer anything specific to build upon?
Absolutely, but I will save that for an outlet that is not social media based.
I see. Do we need a secret handshake to get "in" to your mysterious "outlet" to find out about the "magical thinking" that will ease our pain and make us "healthy" with our money?
Yes

You have to know the handshake to find that out. If you don't know it, well...

This exchange is just stupefying. Mr. Rossen offers little of value, taunting one and all with vacuity.

Thank you for supporting my thread. You have confirmed the solicitation of "task force" applicants is a sham---just like Summers' faux solicitation of bids to run a hospital. A predetermined group with a goal that in kept secret with a fig leaf of "

I can see why it's easy for you and your freinds to "move forward" when you're part of the insider's club. Claiming to establish a "charity" for the underserved while stealing from them. A love triangle with a criminal element--thugs and mouthpieces claiming be victims of "bullies" while bullying their agenda and victimizing the poor and their advocates.

It's all fake.

Oh yes, let's do move forward ASAP.

What I should have said was, "I can't tell you now, but just wait until the summer" and that would have been acceptable to those who consume Koolaid on the Deck. Lesson learned. Just wait until the summer.

The Observer has always been an open source of information.
City Hall, on the other hand, has gone to extraordinary lengths to "control the message" via phony media outlets.

1. They hired one employee at City Hall to get favorable coverage from "Lakewood Citizen", a source that has never revealed its inherent bias on the hospital issue.

2. They created the infamous "fake newspaper" to fool voters.

3. They used the water bill on multiple occasions to promote their agenda.

4. Jen Pae recently set up a City-controlled Facebook page that masquerades as a "community" information source. The page was established when people started asking too many questions on another FB page. The city-controlled page does not reveal its source or bias.

So the City has set up informational outlets that the Observer and Deck cannot control - and this upsets the Koolaid drinkers.

Controlled bias? Is Deck a controlled bias?

When I was a kid, the only government that "set up informational outlets" was the Soviet Union.
Tass and Pravda masqueraded as legitimate news, but were controlled by the Kremlin.

Advertisements within Lakewood, Ohio are not the same as controlling TV and radio stations for the country.

Other than the water bill, these things aren't "advertisements". They are City-controlled media outlets that masquerade as independent news sources. When asked by the PD, Fitzy himself described "Lakewood Neighborhood News" as "a newspaper", not as an ad.
Lakewood Citizen NEVER reveals its obvious conflicts of interest on the site.

That new FB page was set up separately from the Official City of Lakewood Government page in order to appear as an independent source.

I understand what you are trying to say but it sounds like sour grapes to me.

Listen, Jim O'Bryan is also a conflict of interest. He is a citizen, editor, publisher and outspoken activist yet you do not have a problem with it because you side with him. This is not picking on Jim, it is just his role and place in the community and as a citizen of Lakewood. This is the best example that came to mind right now.

So after considering your siding with Jim and his representation it sounds to me like sour grapes.

The fake Fitzy "newspaper" was an ethical and moral failure. Where is it now? Fitz told a newspaper reporter that it was legit and he would be printing new editions. Has anyone seen one?

My guess is the next time you see one is before the November election, when he will again attempt to confuse the voters. Pretty nice guy, huh?

Similarly, the Lakewood, Ohio "community" FB page is meant to confuse readers and pull from the long established, non-city affiliated Lakewood, Ohio group FB. If the city already has an informational, official Facebook page, and it does, what is the purpose of this second page other than to confuse people? It was deliberately set up to mislead people because the original, resident supported Lakewood FB page allowed ALL opinions and sides to be discussed.

The city and its minions just don't like that - just like they don't like the Observer.

Corey,

You repeatedly verify the theme of this post. It is clear that you are the only poster on this thread who has a financial interest in getting the money of the faux foundation for your cause and you want to keep your actions secret--you have a conflict of interest in being transparent at every level. You admit above that City Hall and team Summers and your pals Jay Carson and Rick Alltricks are in the shadows and all have conflicts.

Thank you.
