On the other hand, in the interest of accountability, it would be nice to name the person (s) have an issue with me and/or my posts.

Thanks. :D

Not going to happen, if you need to sleep tonight, pretend I was talking to myself.

IT DOES NOT MATTER

I have a list of at least 20 names including my own that I can drop into...

"I would post on the Deck but XXXXXXXX is a complete _______________"

Names like Kinsella, Slife, Brumm, Warren, O'Bryan, Rossen... some are dead, some have moved, some take breaks. I have taken breaks this year trying to stay in once a week, Corey takes breaks, Davis takes breaks, none of the naysayers magically reappears during the breaks, conversation doesn't grow or shrink.

To be honest, the worst the news, the more heated the conversations the more views. There is generally two groups that crave good news, families, and those in the bad news.

even when it sucks, it's awesome. especially when it sucks. cuz that's when you see the chops come out. and who doesn't love the chops? chops mean that you give a damn and giving a damn is awesome.

if anything, you should open a section titled "stan vs. corey: chops on parade". talk about site traffic..

With all due respect, if you didn't plan on telling the story in its entirety, why even bring this up and bring my name into it in the first place? Not exactly fair or accountable, IMO.

Another "oops" moment I suppose.

No worries. I can absorb all of the arrows that come my way. I'm like a giant sponge. I absorb everything. :D

Lori

You do have chops.

Also I was trying to get everyone to realize, we are all upsetting someone. People walk up to me to complain.

Answer is simple, "put it on the deck, whoever you are bitching about has decided to put their name on their thoughts time for you to ante up."

You have to understand, in a community run by peer pressure, lies, and misinformation, anyone who talks is the enemy of someone.

Funny I am writing a piece on Free Speech, and some of the things I uncovered are pretty weild.

"This branch of the activity was mainly ruled by the Ministero della Cultura Popolare (Ministry of popular culture), commonly abbreviated as Min. Cul.Pop. (with a weird assonance). This administration had competence on all the contents that could appear in newspapers, radio, literature, theatre, cinema, and generally any other form of communication or art.

In literature, editorial industries had their own controlling servants steadily on site, but sometimes it could happen that some texts reached the libraries and in this case an efficient organization was able to capture all the copies in a very short time."

"Chattering en plein air was indeed very risky, as a special section of investigators dealt with what people was saying on the roads; an eventual accusation by some policeman in disguise was evidently very hard to disprove and many people reported of having been falsely accused of anti-national sentiments, just for personal interests of the spy. Consequently, after the first cases, people commonly avoided talking publicly."
Mussolini, regime, Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_in_Italy

In Nazi Germany, they Minister of Propoganda would place "citizens" where people gather to strike down anti-government talk. Taking names and visiting them later to "talk to them." Limiting, controlling free speech are the earliest hallmarks of a fascist state.

Yeah, Lori you got chops, thank you jumping in, and staying in, it takes a real soldier to stick to principles.

So.....what was the point of the original post? Are we looking to change anything or will we keep going with how things currently are?

Look at the answers, no consensus.

We are redesigning, and updating, just checking.

I think the general feeling was, a couple main active sections, and better archives.

What do you think?

Be honest, it doesn't matter what we think. You have already said that in this thread and people have already called you out for it...several times.

So the the suggestion is LO publisher is like the city government?

FYI, starting a post with "Be honest" might be construed by some as a "negative" allegation.

"Negative" is probably the most positive thing you have called me in the last 15 years.

So...you have not raised the bar higher than the people you mock and insult. Is that what you are insinuating?

My bad. I was reading the post on my phone and I only saw the quote links up to Jim's. I thought I was responding to Jim.
