You can go back to 2003, 2004, 2005, etc and see delinquent balances.

Todd,

Interesting. Why has the city not taken the individual to court yet? The city takes people to court all the time for even owing a dollar. Oh god! Could it be another conspiracy?

Since Todd was not making headway with his smarmy attempted smear of Skindell, thanks to the owner correcting his lie, he now decides to wage a personal attack on Mr Dobush.

Nice shot, man.

All taxes set up for monthly payment plan- sheet you copied shows when I was behind but does not show personal contracts entered into between me and Cuyahoga County- and contracts are voided when I do not pay current bills , which I do. Since you have viewed my county tax records, you also should have known I have not owned the building for 30 years as was stated before.

No personal attack it's all public record. Since he stated that he was not delinquent on taxes I decided to look it up. Are all people supporting Build Lakewood on the deck not supposed to ask questions? Is that what is going on here, don't ask questions just follow our SLH line of thinking only?

Besides we don't know if Skindell did or did not say he will save the theater, no word yet from him.

I need some clarification. Is Mr. Dodush saying the Hilliard can be preserved? And is Mike Skindell is supporting the effort?
I had understood that the theater was beyond salvage, but that information came from the City.
What's up?

If it is preserved there are many other questions, first among them parking, but let's get the record straight first.

Well, the post on the FB page is gone now. I guess we will never know.

Dan

I've been in the theater, I have rebuilt theaters, there is no saving the Hillard Theater, it has to come down, and we need something there.

The post everyone is speaking of was a fictitious post by a fictitious poster on a site that encourages that, and has since deleted it.

Val

Thank you for the link.

It's a mystery I guess? Some of the people here are pretty close to Skindell, maybe they can ask him?

The post wasnt fictitious. It was real. The sentiment seemed to represent that they had a vested interest in the building and were speaking officially. They responded to several people inquiring further about it. Again, seemed very official. The poster was not fictitious either, but it sounds like it was not the building owner. Either way, that is weird and wrong.

One thing we have to remember; Bob Dobush is a guy of average means who, because of his appreciation of the beauty of the Hilliard Square, overextended himself to buy the place for only one reason, to keep it from being torn down. Bob never expected to be the guy to become rich as a redeveloper of the place. He had been approached by the Walgreens and CVS's but refused. He was, and is, hoping someone with the means and the vision would come along and buy it from him and fulfill the dream. He realizes, like I do, that the Hilliard is the most beautiful interior space ever built in Lakewood (I've been saying that for twenty years and no one has disagreed with me), and losing it would be a crime. But getting back to Bob, I can say that he has paid significant property tax on a property that generated no income, only expenses just to keep the building somewhat stable. I am still hoping against hope that someone realizes what we have here and comes forward with a vision. In the meantime, my hats off to Bob Dobush

And, Jim, a couple of the Playhouse square theaters were in similar shape, and were successfully restored.

I go back to my question: did anyone check with Mike Skindell? After reading the last couple of posts, supporting these folks doesn't seem as far-fetched as it did at first.
I personally don't see it happening, but they do and until someone proves these posts are bogus, I take them at their word.

There are a lot of people on the deck that know him surly someone can get the word out to him for a response. For or against saving what is it? Did you back the theater savers skindell?
