My government overreacted and under acted to catch those responsible.

The country was guided and lied into a war that never needed to be fought.

The government has bankrupted this generation and every generation worth mentioning in the next 40 years.

And my country WAS hijacked by ideologues that cared more about their own purses than anything to do with America and its people.

Outside of that not really much more.

JOB

Agree to 1st face to face IF

1- No 4 ft 3 inch Representatives from Calif/Cleveland/Lakewood etc are asked along

2- No guns , knives , WMD allowed .

3- No more than a 15 minute Sales Job on the Wonders of Lakewood and /or LQ included .

Only "complication" PUCO is having a hearing on Columbia Gas increases at 12:30pm Thurs at Parma City Hall Council Chambers - which I will be attending . So assuming no more than 2-3 hours of BS from PUCO + Col Gas plants and then questions from audience and Kampe should be able to pick you up mid-late Th afternoon ( after I try to remove my 116 Trakas For Congress Car stickers ) .

Original DJK ( not that cheap Cleveland knock-off )

Mike,
If your post says anything about you, it says that you are part of the majority that has woken up to the truth. I talked to business owners and college students from many other countries who passionately voted for Obama. In 2050 48% of the population will be made up of "minorities". To have a nation so divided when we had been seen by others as the "melting pot" and freedom of religion, yet in reality became more and more polarized is horrifying. One God under One Nation? It felt more like the Civil War and this election will help change that. The rights of African American from voting rotes to Civil Rights has traditionally been the door to open rights for other "minority" groups, the gay community, women's rights, and ethnic minority groups who have every right to be here as the White. The false sense of superiority being stripped away from the "US" verses "Them" would be the best thing to happen to this country. Guns are not the most dangerous weapon on this land. Ego is And collective egos, the ones that allowed and participated in enslaving human beings in this country, or butchering the Jews and others in Germany, or the Ku Klux Klan today or the Taliban, are the most dangerous weapon around. Imagine this as the start of a true melting pot, not where "color blind" exists, but where all races, religions, cultures, sexuality, are truly honored for what they bring to this world, enriching this country as the truest reflection of One God and One Country.

Jim,

Thanks for the note about the Peace Corp. My sister was in the Peace Corp in Africa years ago and today lives there working for them in community and volunteer development. She called the night of election with such hope, staying up all night with the city of Malawi cheering on the United States. Feeling the power of the world watching us and praying for us was the most powerful thing I have ever felt (outside of natural labor).

the party maps in national elections are nearly completely inverted since the Republican Party came to power in the mid 1800s. The most recent election reversed some of that.

McKinley:

Hayes:

Garfield:

political parties run mostly on inertia and slogan recognition. In the past big business republicans supported the high tariff. it became more profitable to outsource and import at the same time it became easier for people to live much further from where they worked, and where their employees lived.
