I'm confused. (Jim: "I am still willing to work with you or anyone that would like to add or change things on the Deck.") You said the LO will do what Lakewood wants, can't somebody, such as Ryan, suggest something without an anvil dropping on his head? Such is the tone of the Deck.

It is a mosh pit of tough love. I cannot control, nor would I want to control what you put up there, why would I want to control others? The idea is to take ownership of the idea and all the love and hate that comes with it. Hopefully at the idea, not the poster. However I, you, and many others do get personal now and then. It is unfortunate, but I am not on the high ground to comment. Again, I would rather know the racist, than not.
What many do not realize is that this "concept" was thought out long and hard over more than a year, by many minds much sharper than mine. It is also a concept that is growing very quickly throughout America. Let people say what they will, as long as they are willing to take ownership of them.
The discussion always makes more sense to me, then the "blogger" who preaches from on high and never gives room to dissent. Or those that live in closets and the dark and throw stones and run and hid, that adds nothing to the landscape. In my humble opinion.
However, The Lakewood Observer has been set up in such a way that anyone can come up with an idea, and we will try to make it happen. However they must be willing to shepard it through. Ideas, are cute, and like opinions everyone has one. The real deal, where the rubber hits the road is follow through. That is why we are here. To make it happen.
If Ryan wants a moderated board, then we can help him make it happen. However it does fly against everything the LO is about. Also as witnessed by others both other boards are HEAVILY moderated. Removing anything that goes against the owners beliefs, or party line. So you end up with heavily moderated boards made up of people not using their real names and multiple names. How on earth does that even make sense.
Me, I like knowing enough about a person that when I meet them on the street I can easily think back if I even want to talk with them. To me it is the difference between Sunny Skye and Phil Distasio. Remember we found out that Phil was harvesting young autistic children in diapers for some of the most despicable acts ever committed on children. Now he serves multiple life sentences, but also has internet access and friends on the outside using faux names and working the net. No give me Corey talking about me in dresses, Eisel talking about me as the pumpkin slut, and Salo telling me I have never supported a Republican.
If an Observer wants it, and has the time or the help, we can try to make it happen.
