You worked miracles tonight.

The best part, besides the fun, the people, the excitement...

Had to be getting an email from a well known corporatiion that will help to underwrite LIA's MAMA and DADA Art walk in the spring, the busking days, and the LIA's Fall Art Weekend in 2008.

Justine, Ruthie, Barb

you are the best.

Thanks Jim and for all the support the LO has given to small businesses!!! Ruthie and Barbara work amazingly!!! True professionals! What a group LIA will be with those two heading it!!!

I mostly hit the east end and couldn't even make it to much of the west end!!! I wish I had more time! Even though we were up against the Indians, it was a gorgeous night (couldn't ask for better weather) and I can't tell you how nice it was to see birdtown alive and buzzing at night!!!! This was the first art walk, hoping to be done much more frequently, but I have to say it felt like a different town with some businesses lit up, people out and smiling, the way Lakewood should be more!! Customers at the Coffee Pot were begging JoAnne to do this more often, just to come in and get a friendly cup of coffee with others on a Friday evening. The belly dancers at Christina's were gorgeous!!! I thought there was going to be a car accident on Franklin for sure!!! The artists at Connie's and Coffee Pot were amazing and the artist of the night????? Tony from AB Plumbing!!!! OMG I can't believe that man can make those sculptures out of old plumbing!!!

Thanks to all who supported the artists and the businesses and came out! Thanks to the library for the awesome face painting too!!! We can build this up as a community and change the outcome for Lakewood, bringing in many for events like this!!!

It takes a magical fusion of a lot of people, cooperation, time, energy and community to make an event like this a success. To each and every person, business and organization, including family and friends, who offered their patience, time, energy and support, please allow me to extend my sincere gratitude. Special thanks to Jim O’bryan(LO), Barbara Michel(LIA) and Justine Cooper(MAMA) –for their unique expertise and perspective in the area of event planning and organizing.

If you have ideas to make this even better the next time and you are a business owner on Madison Avenue, please consider attending a MAMA Meetingâ€â€￾ Justine Cooper tells me the next meeting is this Tuesday, at 8:15pm at Wobblefootâ€â€￾where MAMA and LIA Members will take a short time to review this last Artwalk and plan for future eventsâ€â€￾and then the meeting will turn to Madison businesses. Justine and Sharon(Class Act) will open to discussion to the Holiday Season and what plans are in store for Madison Avenue Merchants.

And if you are an artist interested in participating in future Artwalks, please contact me at rkoenigsmark@yahoo.com so that we can begin planning.

Thanks to everyone!

My family and I attended this wonderful event last night. We had a great time browsing, interacting with people . . . and I even purchased a piece of art! This was a fabulous idea for Lakewood and its citizens.
