Actually, I hate to admit this, but the food counter at K-Mart back in the 80's was pretty cool. I was a WHS student at the time and as seniors we could leave campus for lunch (and study halls, too...which made for nice scheduling...let's see, Lunch, Study hall, study hall, home). Anyway, we would go there for their burgers which, at the time, were actually very tasty. A nice surprise. It used to be in the back of the store and it was a full-service little grill. Now it is just heat lamps and spinning hot dogs but back in the day...mmm tasty.
