Re: Nico's Returning?
Growing up not far from Detroit's Greektown, I was thrilled when Niko's opened the first time. Dinner's there felt like home. I look forward to the return of flaming cheese, shouts of "OPA!" and homemade Mousaka. Greek Village has wonderful food at reasonable prices. Niko's will have to go the extra mile to provide an atmosphere worth settling down for.

Re: Nico's Returning?
There's an ad for Niko's in yesterday's PD Fri magazine. It says, "The Greek is back in Lakewood! Coming in July, Niko's on Detroit Authentic Greek Cuisine. Same location, different look, same great food! Niko and his father, Vasilios would like to invite you back for a taste of Greece in Lakewood."
And then they list all of this food:
saganaki, calamari, baby octopus, hummus, loukoumathes (?) page is ripped there
avgolemono, gyro, taverna chicken, mousaka
I don't know what a couple of those things are, but it was fun when they were here before.
The ad didn't say when in July.

Niko's is open. There were people eating in there when we walked by. It looked good.
