We had visited Route 6 a few months ago

Did not get a warm feeling from the staff - we were not impressed with the value of the food.

After dinner, we relocated to the bar - it was a very, very slow night - we were the only customers left. The staff was just lingering around the bar...not necessarily conversing with each other or us, but just hanging out waiting for closing time it appeared.

We generally try to give restaurants 2 tries before writing them off, but not in this case - food was average and over-priced and the staff wasn't very friendly.

"you want bread?"
"$2. for bread"
Not good bread either.
That did it for me.

Route 6 was open for 9 or so months? Shame to make such an investment in the place then close the doors. I can't speak to their service as I hadn't been there. Only bad meal/service in Lakewood that I ever had was at Martini's (now Beer Engine). They made a good martini but had no clue how to cook a thick steak.

Charlie, they probably leased the entire operation from Niko, so they didn't necessarily have a big cash outlay. Mast likely a few cosmetic changes in the bar and dining room.
