I was headed to Around the Corner for their fish fry. Mickey and Ryan crank out a damn good fish fry, and
Ed and Gladys Favre were there, so Deb and I headed off.
The place was packed, so packed no place to park.
WestEnd Tavern does a nice fish fry with some really good clam chowder on Fridays. But the neighborhood is
a victim of their own success NO PARKING. I could have walked from home and been closer, and with Vosh
getting going, the streets were packed at a standstill.
So we headed of to Nelly Belly in the Canyon, down at the boat docks where "Settler's Landing" was.
He finally has his stone over installed, and offers a great variety of fish fries, all of them looking damn good.

4 piece of Lake Erie Perch, 2 hush puppies, coleslaw and a side. Deb got sweet potato fries, I tried the Chowder.
Where to start, the fish were fresh, cooked perfectly with light breading. We tried two of the three tarter
sauces offered and the Asian Pepper with little kick was great, The Chowder was one of the most original
Chowders I have enjoyed in this area. Lots of clams, and a sweet but savory taste that was very pleasing.
The Cole Slaw was a red cabbage slaw with a hint of wasabi in the dressing.
Prices were great, service was great, and it was a pleasant find.
Check it out.
