Everything can be fixed over a good beer. :D

*****Disclaimer***** Ryan Demro nor Ed Fitzgerald gave me written or verbal permission to use their public photos, maybe Ed will send another mass mailing.

Wow Shelly and Ryan,

That's a heck of a way to get to a kumbayah moment, but here we are, aren't we?

Back to that beat-up banjo...

Bill,

Yes they were drinking foreign beer. Here they are on a foreign beach in Mexico. I was amazed at how many pictures of them together I found online. :)

Question is now, what are we going to do about it?

How about electing those most likely to consider, support and represent our vision(s) for Lakewood?

Don't be left defenseless.

Ryan

While looking at that disturbing beach photo it reminded me about a photo I took in Vegas
if my memory serves me correctly.

It was a great show!

OK Meg, back to seriousness.

Council at Large Candidates Forum - 2009
This is a non-discussion area where candidates ONLY may post their platforms, views, and ideas. At certain points questions will be posed to the candidates from the public.

The only concerns this batch respond to are their own. They only folks they defend themselves against is each other.

So why would it shock anyone that ZERO posts have been made in the Council at Large Forum?

Voters do not matter to the elected officials of Lakewood. Nor do our opinions, input, needs, concerns nor questions.

Voters need to be proactive in making their questions known. Other than Mr. Anderson there has been ZERO participation on behalf of "voters" There are many ways to have your (the voter) question included in the forum. Again with the exception of Mr. Anderson no one has taken advantage of it. You can say what you want about the politicians "failing the take home test" -JOB but at the end of the day it is up to the voters (again that is you) to make their questions known. At least that way the blame can be solely dumped on the politicians who hide in the shadows.

I will be honest Jim (DeVito) . I did not submit any questions. And a big reason I didn't was because it seemed quite obvious that answers were not going to be given. Only a few of the candidates even post on the deck and the ones that do I know where they stand on the issues. This is not the fault of the deck this is the fault of certain candidates that don't seem to want to put themselves out there and those are the ones who I would like to hear from but realistically know that none of us will.

Thanks Danielle, I suspect this feeling is shared.

To the bold point above... Their loss...

I worry though that many people don't pay attention. They of course are the ones that aren't on the deck and they are the ones that will vote for a candidate not because of what they do or say but because of who endorses them. Oh well such is life. *sigh*

Democratic infighting and misleading makes me think of that Phase III cover-up

Ken,

Can you elaborate? What was covered up?

Another deception...

It did seem like the Mayor and Demro were getting along pretty well before the last mayoral primary...

Could this have been the Ferris's pool?

P.S. This is a totally faux photo. To my knowledge, there are no public images of the mayor or the former councilman in a pool in the public domain.
The hardest part for us (the voters) is to figure out which candidates can rise above this aspect of politics and serve effectively.
Those of us squarely in the Shields camp urge you to vote for Dan Shields for Lakewood Council-at-Large tomorrow. You will not have to worry about Dan "rising above this aspect of politics" - because he does not stoop to it in the first place.

He ran a great grassroots campaign by sticking to the issues and has earned a spot on Lakewood Council.
