It is surprising how little coverage and info has been out there on this. That is a concern that it's on the ballot and the way it is worded it may appear to be a good intention. But so many more details of what this means should be presented to the voters first. The LO team will try to get some info in next week's issue on it. The only coverage I've read on it was in EcoWatch Journal (picked up at Nature's Bin). The EcoWatch staff shared information as presented by Ohio Act (www.ohioact.org).

Under www.ohioact.org Media Center they list that League of Women's Voters of Ohio and "most of the major Ohio papers" oppose Issue 2 and have links to the articles.

This is a form email message that they encourage anyone to send.

"Dear Friend,
Corporate agribusiness interests are staging a massive power grab in the Ohio constitution. Issue 2, on the ballot for the November 3rd election, would amend the Ohio constitution to create an appointed board that will have unchecked power over any and all animal agriculture regulations in Ohio. Agribusiness interests like the Ohio Farm Bureau and the Ohio Pork Producers are spending millions of dollars to try to convince voters Issue 2 will create safe, local food, but it's more likely to promote the more than 200 factory farms already in the state.

Can you help me stop this corporate power grab by voting No on Issue 2 and joining the Issue 2 Truth Squad?"

Issue 2 would also be for dogs/cats. The puppy/cat mills. Because the animals in these mills are treated as livestock, so in theory it will apply to them too. Dogs in tiny wire crates mass producing puppies over and over and over again with no regard to their health or welfare.(and if you want to see first hand what living in a mill does to a dog, please shoot me an email and I will introduce you to Milly a fear pooping Boston Terrier who spent 6 years in a mill in a rabbit hutch!!!) During a recent mill auction, ALL of the millers were telling people to vote for this issue. (I did not attend this auction as I do not believe in it, but one of my friends did)Do you really think we should listen to people who make their money doing cruel and inhumae things to animals?
