One of a kind, indeed. I often remark to myself upon reading one of your posts, "Only Stephen Eisel could have been capable of that kind of reasoning".

I would like to think that Stephen is not that crazy. I like to think he just gets his kicks from stirring the pot so to speak. I love the guy, and his tireless defense of all thing evil is a treat.

I once knew a man named Obama

He wants to raise taxes on everyone, including your mama.

He won’t tell you that’s his plan but we know democrats like the back of our hand

He says 95% won’t pay more….yeah right, and I believe Al Gore

He voted for the Bridge To Nowhere, Biden voted for it too

He said, “you vote for my pork and I’ll vote yours tooâ€

Ode to Pork, at all levels

Have you heard of a man named Obama?

He’s running for president of our great states, including Alabama.

He says he’s been to fifty seven with one more to go, I guess he thinks everyone is slow

Pork is only a half percent of our budget he doth say, I don’t agree with that downplay

Half percent of trillions is still hundreds of millions and millions, maybe even billions

Too many zero’s for the average Joe to comprehend, when is this spending going to end?

To be fair, pork spending happens on both sides, it’s enough to make my eyes go wide

Our government takes in a dollar and spends a dollar ten, when is this going to end?

They say don’t worry, you see, we’ll balance the budget in time for January

We’ll just write another IOU to Social Security

‘Borrow’ from Social Security? I guess I’ll be lucky if it pays my greens fee

By the time I retire the whole system will expire

I better increase the contribution to my 401k, it looks like I’m gonna need it in a big way

Better start saving more before your hair turns grey!

Save you say? I’m not sure I understand as I spend everything in my hand

I can’t wait for my next paycheck, I might visit Quebec, or buy that CD from Beck, or buy a new Trek that way I don’t have to rely on OPEC

Paycheck to paycheck and living the dream, don’t forget about that fifty two inch big screen

We’ll put it on the card and add to our debt, it’s no sweat so please don’t fret

List to what you say to me! People who think like that need a lobotomy

Oh well, gotta get back to earning that dollar as I’m on my lunch hour

And put it in the government’s thrifty hand so they can continue running our great land!

I love your spirit and mind. You have been real treat and inspiration for me. I treasure that. You talents and gifts are absolutely wonderful! Your many writings are absolutely fascinating. Of all the people I have met in my entire life, you surely stand out on top. It is incredible how little I knew about all your wonderful work, certainly a life well lived and I hope that you are well rewarded in the next life. Thank you so much for your enlightenment and wisdom. I wish to go on the permanent record on this matter, you are one of a kind.

Here's my pathetic political poem:

The fog is thick in politics
Reality formed with only sound bits
Mindless faith in the spoken word
Lies and promises, of course the obscure

Drowning in rhetorical quotes
In country of sinking boats
Foreclosed homes and credit galore
Interest and principal derivatives, more?

Parties parry politely at first
The election approaches, I fear the worst
The crescendo is building of accusations and words
Virulent spittle from both of the herds

Mindless believers choose one of the sides
Beating each other with each other's lies
The system has failed, or maybe it works
Diverting our eyes from what really lurks

In the shadows beyond the light that is cast
Critical thinking is losing ground fast
To what really matters and things that will last
And many traditions that were loved in the past

Like community service and civil discourse
Helping each other if times should get worse
Community programs that help out the old
Have gone by the wayside, they have been sold

To pay for the interest on bonds and the debt
Helping the bankers who aren't finished yet
Destroying our values our savings our pride
While taking our money which they will soon hide

The dollar is down the murder rate climbs
Financial pressure on all of our minds
Your 401K has seen much better days
Congressmen fiddle and throw it away

Bailing a system that is destined to fail
A system of debt that is wagged by its tail
Of investment bankers who give not a care
And their mindless supporters who dish out a fare

Of debt and destruction that touches our lives
Our neighbors our city our children our wives
Our jobs our investments retirement and such
Thinking about it upsets me too much

So what can we do to make it all better
Open your eyes and ask yourself whether
It's better to believe in all of the lies
Given to you by the media guys

Or to examine the issues with logical thought
Making decisions from what we were taught
Not for ourselves but for those by our side
Might change the direction of this negative tide
