Yes I did read it before posting it...my point being that it DID indeed happen, my point being that if one is going to call a candidate a thug... well there is plenty of it to go around on both sides. The hate mongering coming from the extremes of each party is both sad and laughable.

Did Did I say the checks and balances were destroyed by G W Bush? No. See the Links from Wikipedia and Salon. The checks and balances did kick in and guess what both parties were, in a roundabout way, responsible for that. That being that each presidential term presents an opportunity to seat a new judge on the Supreme Court. But that really is not how the checks and balances work. They work because of our constitution.
