After being neo-con dupes for the last eight years, the house republicans have shown a little backbone today and voted against this insane bailout. Too bad the democrats have gone to the dark side of special interest groups.

Now in a desperate attempt to scare the American people, those behind the drive to pass this bill have driven the markets down. Wait until tomorrow when they have the window of opportunity to sell off assets in hedge funds (which is the true economic holoCOST) and the market really tanks.

Hugs and kisses to those who have 401k's. Maybe we should put out the mattresses for all the jumpers tomorrow.

Steve

I see this just a little differently.

They are building a false sense of being strong all against GWB. Look who voted no, and compare that to the list of those up for re-election!

"I disagreed with GWB on the most important..." I can see the ads now.

Of course the democrats, well most, are stumbling over each other showing what great planners they are in a crisis. If there is a crisis.

Now if we look back over the past couple months, you can see the shudder that occured right before the big one. The problem, if you are a real player, how do you pull money out, without it just falling away. I mean when the going out of business signs go up. Liquidity makes you king.

Pull it out, crash the market, destroy confidence, buy for penny on the dollars and shake the gamblers out.
