You are missing the point.

We have giving these tax breaks to Big Oil for many years and what have we got in return for it. Nothing. Pointless wars, bigger dependence on "terror" oil  , and stifled innovation.

The oil companies have failed us. It is time to stop rewarding them for that and give the tax breaks to new more forward thinking companies. In hopes that they can once again spark the kind of innovation america was know for during the tech boom.

It is 2008 people and the best you can do is "drill baby drill". Kind of lame is you ask me.

The bill will increase energy taxes on gasoline and home heating oil.

Good.

The bill will provide billions of tax dollars to companies owned by the political allies of Nancy Pelosi.

Prove it. Facts to back that up?

The reason oil companies do not drill on all of the land they lease is because not all the land they lease contains any recoverable oil.

Stan brings up a good point. Sounds kind of dumb. What are they waiting for oil to grow?

Good? At least you are being honest in a way that Nancy Pelosi is not.

She wants high gas prices, $5, $6 or $7 or more, the higher the better. That’s why she is opposed to drilling. If you think she wants high gas prices for environmental reason you think wrong. Her new “economic stimulusâ€

Bill

I guess this is why you love Congressman Kucinich, and VP Candidate Joe Biden. Kucinich still lives in the house he grew up in once his family could afford a house, and Joe Biden has under $200,000 in the bank.

I am so happy you finally are starting to see the truth.
