But unwittingly developed a society that chooses materialistic gain over everything else and a public education system that produces a majority of mindless automatons.
We are at this point because the majority of people have the inability to think critically, are easily influenced and have their actions and thoughts controlled from the top down by a variety of sources such as religion or the corporate media.
The system has produced a society of concrete thinkers who are unable to deal with abstract problems. In order to cope they repeat what they hear as though saying it over and over will somehow turn a lie into the truth while disregarding any evidence that contradicts that which they believe.
