I too would like to know more about this endorsement and what it took to get it. But I am much more interested in Ms. George's positions on the matters at hand. Endorsements don't mean much to me, especially in local elections.

I would agree with you on endorsements and people should always vote with their heads. BUT, it does give insight into many areas during the election.

With the drastic cutbacks at City Hall and shortfalls in revenue, some of that has to affect every avenue of City Hall service including police and fire.

I have never heard one policeman or fireman complain about the City of Lakewood, especially since Mayor Summers was elected.

But I believe there are Lakewood Police on the FOP Board to review and interview candidates, could this be a silent snapshot as dissatisfaction with current council?
