Here is the overlays of Nature's Bin/Cornocopia/Strip Mall, McKinley Place, I did not outline Foran Group property along river, or all of Brickman's property.

You can see how it falls into the "complete" West End Strip Mall Vision(2004), so the property has already been deemed valuable by many.

Well if there are already plans for the location, there is every reason to assume that plans were made behind the scenes. Certainly, would the city bring in developers and make plans without knowing the Bin would be gone?

Again, it's too convenient to believe that this wasn't some sort of planned event.

I know of no "planned event."

I am merely saying the property was deemed valuable at that time. And certainly the City knows its value when they helped Cornucopia, acquire McDonald's (see those stories). I remember vividly Mayor Summers and Dru Siley convincing McDonald's not to tear down the building. They could re purpose it, which saved Cornucopia from having to spend money building a big new purposed building.

Now there is great forethought, who would have thought, less than a handful of years, a solid non-profit foundation would be failing, and now must close, leaving prime develop-able property behind.
