Mr. Deenan -
The City leased the Hospital building to the Lakewood Hospital Association (dating back to the 1980's). The LHA was required to run the facility as a hospital and formalized a partnership with the Clinic to do so. Again, as I've written before, this arrangement served the City well for many years.
The new deal in place eliminates the LHA, puts the Clinic in control of its new state of the art building and codifies that the City of Lakewood has the right of first refusal to acquire the buildings should these ever become available.

Mr. Anderson,
We are still waiting for Ms. Marx to explain her campaign contribution from Huron Consulting and also the Cleveland Clinic persons. I recall Mary Louise Madigan mentioning at a council meeting that Huron Consulting was an outside, independent company. Did Ms. Madigan conveniently forget to mention Ms. Marx friend at Huron Consulting?
