I predict we will get the Lord Lakewood and Company Recreation Center. Even if he has to lie, cheat, or steal to get it, Lord always gets what he wants! Remember the BS we were fed last year about how keeping the hospital open would cause an increase in our taxes? Regardless of what side you are on, you'd better fasten your seatbelts because a tax increase will be coming soon. In 2017, we will be asked to fork over more money to the schools because it appears the new buildings are over budget. It appears that we don't have anybody on the School Board that knows anything about drawing up contracts. Shortly thereafter, the city will approach us for a tax increase due to the loss of our largest employer and the tax base from it. We already don't have enough money to properly repair our service department vehicles or hire enough garbage persons. These persons bust their rear ends every day and still have difficulty staying on schedule, especially since Lord and Company allow the policy of garbage put outs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No money for street repairs either.

Meanwhile, our fire chief and a CCF doctor continue on with their Senior Citizen Tour of Lakewood to feed them BS about how the Urgi Care can meet all their needs. I have been in contact with several seniors that tell me they aren't buying it and will spread the word.

As Mike D. would say: "we still have our solstice steps."
