Patrick

No post has ever been deleted from the Deck, as I posted they were moved to legal review.

Welcome to the new even more accountable Deck.

After talking with both parties, and seeing what proof they have, and if it is factual, they will be moved back.

Tensions in this town are at an all time high, we with two members of the board, thought discretion the better part of valor.

All posts are still here.

I must have started and abandoned a half dozen posts in the last week due to a lack of knowledge. But here's one observation that's worth soliciting confirmation in the light of Dru Siley's departure: I didn't see Tom Bullock at last night's meeting - he usually manages to stand out in a crowd and find his way into pictures. Was he there, and if not, is it significant?

Hey King Rat, it must be getting lonely at the helm of the S.S Mendacity.
He still has plenty of company..... Jen Pae, Kevin Butler, and his valet Tom Bullock.

What does this process entail? Who is involved in the process?

According to the Patch (it pains me to cite this site), "according to sources" (attempt to sound like a real news site), Siley is going to Liberty Development http://liberty-development.com/. What the patch piece fails to mention, is Liberty Development Company is the developer for McKinley Place.

The PD just posted, and they DO point out that Liberty has done business with the city.
So this is an example of "revolving door crony capitalism", where corporations hire government employees in order either 1) get access for lobbying or 2) reward a government employee for services rendered.

The piece even used the "leaving to spend more time with the family" routine.
Just once, I want to hear someone say, "I'm running for office in order to spend less time with my family".

Are there ethical considerations regarding this move to a developer he supervised as the city planning director and who has a continued interest in working in the city .... Oh wait, I forgot - this is Team Summers and company - damn ethics!

Liberty Development President and CEO Tom Kuluris: "We're excited to have him (Siley). . . . He's smart and he's honest."

It's not every day you see the need to stress "and he's honest" in a press release welcoming your new employee.

I'll borrow from the eloquent Mr. Essi here, UM-HMMM.

That's a bit like the phrase "To tell you the truth...." Whenever someone starts a sentence like that in my presence, I reach to make sure my wallet is still in my pocket.

You two break me up, it is not a new section is not a public section. It has over 200 messages from Phil Distasio, when FBI wanted them on the site, It has fake P. Mano stuff there same reason, investigation. They exist, but public doesn't need access to them until law enforcement and legal is through. Or maybe never at all.

There are almost 50 sections on the Deck, most people can't see most of them. Some are private meeting areas for groups, ideas, back ups, all sorts of things.

Yes, I mean really what comes after "he's honest"? " Despite what you've heard? Or unlike my other employees?".

Um-Hmmm.
