Marc's accepts cash, Discover credit cards & checks from approved customers. Don't try to pay with your First Federal Lakewood debit card, though! (All Lakewoodites bank at FFL, right?)
I thought that was strange too. I was about to whip out my FFL debit card and was told that was no good?

We have found out that a new Vape store will be moving into the space next to Robeks. This is certainly good news as it is one of the fastest growing industries.

Stay tuned

Is a "Vape" store at the INA building better economic development than the "We Buy Gold" store planned for "Summersgate Square" on Belle?

Vaping appears to be as harmful to users as real cigarettes, but we need to watch out for children - both teens who are a rapidly growing segment of new users and younger children who have access to e-cigarettes:

E-cigarettes a risk to toddlers:

Not much to celebrate about more vaping. Is that 5 now? I would rather see high end tattoos, but I guess there are some issues that preclude it?

Alex --- Marc's is the place to go for the lowest prices on name brands, and they have some good brand alternatives and local stuff, like Corbo's Bakery and a full selection of Orlando Breads that GE refuses to carry. In no way is it "Fun For Your Money," as their slogan used to go, but you do save a bunch. Just bring cash ...

"Would you rather have it be an empty lot, filled with drug dealers?" to paraphrase so many on why Family Dollar needed to be built.

Lakewood is going through a major shift. Unintended consequences.

Pul an interesting side note to the "Marc's Shopping Experience" is that the store and the parking lots are very planned out, while seeming like a nightmare. Go to any Marc's and it is secretly frustrating, yet very rewarding. "End of counter marketing is big money, and they cram them in there. They got you with the low prices, and get you to buy more with your trip through the store.

When I go to Marc's it is at 7am on Saturday, a relative dream vs. a weekend afternoon. I'm inherently cheap so I willingly accept the frustration for the savings...and close my eyes to the register kiosks ...

I was stunned when Family Dollar came in. I had no idea it was even in the works because of all the hoopla about Discount. The building construction and design is bad, the "landscaping" is a joke ... Glenn Palmer would have a heart attack seeing the burlap and rope still tied fast to the trunk of the tree.

I don't have a problem with the store brand being here, but two in the same ward, so close together?

Well, the drug dealers are already here.

On the other hand, I don't have a problem with Family Dollar. The newer store seems clean and the people are always friendly.

I have lived here for a long time and have never visited many of the small stores. I am now trying to visit a couple a week.

STEM Soap is good, Urban Bulk Foods, Lion & Blue, Grab-N-Go Pizza are all great.

Does anyone know if CCF will be hosting a vape chase next year instead of the ambulance chase?
