I only assumed it was protocol to pass them onto Butler, but I've done no homework on the subject. Maybe he had to go through them with a fine tooth comb?

If Butler does it right, ( following Summer's orders ), it could take forever!

I'm guessing that the strategy is to slow up the referendum process so SLH has minimal time to raise funds and run a campaign. Absentee voting starts in a few weeks. It might be better for SLH to wait if possible. After all the hospital will be just as closed later as it will be in a few days. What they lose in momentum, they gain in fund raising and a drip, drip, drip campaign. It may sound ghoulish to some, but they might also come up with some horror stories of people not being treated in time.

It appears that Mr. Butler has become more like Summers in more ways than one, he now wears two hats!

Dan,
You are right on with that last line. It dawned on me the other day that, despite all of the fears that the new CCF stand-alone ER will essentially be an Urgent Care Center (charging ER prices!) due to the fact that no inpatient beds are attached, come this weekend that is
EXACTLY what Lakewood is going to have for the next 2+ years until the Clinic's FHC is up an running by June'18. Therefore the existing ER will soon turn into an Urgent Care for the foreseeable future.
Not to mention the fact that last year the Clinic told the city of Lakewood that the hospital was to close down by September 2016, not February 2016. Another lie!

I have said more than once here on the Deck that people should contact Jon Husted's Office. He is the secretary of State for the State of Ohio. His office handles anything in the State of Ohio that has to do with elections and Boards of Elections. I am trying to convey to posters here that instead of being reactive, they need to be proactive. It takes a village!
