Cowardly Kaptur Betrays Lakewood

Most likely, Kaptur and Brown were just putting out a little minimal effort for Summers because he got the Lakewood Democrats endorsement (at least I think he did - I've already recycled all the campaign lit so can't check). I'll give them a pass on that, but I *am* annoyed to hear that reported response from Kaptur's office of she "doesn't get involved in local issues". The hospital receives federal funds, it's not just a local issue like a liquor permit or something, and it's a major employer of a sizeable number of her constituents, so it DOES involve her as a federal representative.

As for supporting her in future elections, if she's the Democratic candidate in the general then yes, she'll have my vote. That says NOTHING about who I'd vote for in a primary. People who don't want to have her in office, find an opponent that can win the general against a Republican (remembering that our district isn't quite so solidly blue as it was back when Dennis was our rep thanks to gerrymandering) and who more closely fits my personal ideology, and I'll support that person. It's not me, I'm not willing to run for office due to how much it would disrupt my family. Unless you're willing to stick your own neck out that way or recruit someone else to that task & put in all the work necessary to help them to get elected, I recommend you stop with the unproductive shooting off of your mouths/fingers and don't shoot yourself in the foot come November 2016.
