Good observations. The crews must have come and fixed them sometime yesterday evening after I reported them. They usually are pretty efficient, with a 1-3 day repair time, providing that the issue is not more complex than a bulb, photocell, or starter replacement.

No need to sweat. I filled out the online form, and look who I see the next day, repairing the streetlight that has been out since spring on Clifton near Hird. It was one of those ones I admittedly never got around to reporting until now.

About twenty minutes later, they were spotted on Coutant, repairing another one that I called in.
If you see a streetlight out, get the address and pole number (if available) and call it in here:

Last night, I counted 21 streetlights out. This included a good portion of Detroit, a good portion of Madison, and a few smaller streets.
Most of the burned-out streetlights were in Wards 1 and 4. I counted 12 streetlights out in ward 1 and 6 out in ward 4. The rest are in Ward 2. I counted zero out in ward 3. I counted two out in a row on Riverside and two out in a row on West Clifton.
See below for an updated list of burned-out streetlights I have reported or will soon be reporting. I have now reported roughly 274 since October 2015.
The question is: what is my tax money paying for? I shouldn't have to go out, using my time and hard-earned gas money to do work that the councilmen and the mayor should be doing. I haven't been on a streetlight run in a while, and I saw the consequences of that. 21 streetlights out on just a few streets, not counting the far north or far south portions of town. That is unacceptable, in my opinion.
Shall I send an invoice for my time and gas money to council or the mayor?
Call your councilmen and ask them how many streetlights they have reported recently:

It appears they are devoting all of their time to covering their rear ends with the hospital deal, and are not paying much attention to their wards.

It should be noted here that I have now reported 284 burned-out streetlights in Lakewood. Wards 1 and 4 are the worst. I have seen very few burned-out lights in Wards 2 or 3 recently.
