On Elmwood, between Madison and Athens. There are a few cats that roam the area. We have an indoor cat as well. If I see the cat again, I will grab him and give you a shout here.

HE'S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Apparently it was just a two week vacation. Magellan has returned after circumnavigating his way around Lakewood.

Doesn't look too worse for wear, although he seems to have had a recent run-in with a skunk (holy cow he reeks).

thank you all for the support and all the tips as to his whereabouts.

Glad he is back. YAY!!! Tomato soup is a good way to help get that smell out but bathing a cat can be a danger to you!!! Good luck!!!

My neighbor is missing her 11 year old cat. Never been outside before and now is gone. She is declawed with green eyes typical tiger stripe . We are on Waterbury. (i dont have a picture on here but will get one soon!!)

Glad to hear Magellan is back! What a relief.

Missy, I am sorry to hear about your neighbor's cat. What is it about spring that makes these silly indoor cats want to go on walkabout???

Please post up a pic. I live right near you and have seen a few cats coming over from waterbury to my street through the backyards.... I walk the neighborhood a lot so I will keep my eye out.

Oh Bret so happy to hear he came home, silly cats I think sometimes they enjoy making their humans worry.

3 cheers for Magellan and the Callentine family!

A pet is so much a member of a family!

Out with the banjo!

It's time for a SONG!

The Ballad of Magellan

There once was a cat named Magellan
Who lived in the Callentine's home.
Magellan however, loved liberals.
So off went Magellan to roam.

Bret. of course, loved his kitty.
He went out to search high and low.
As did the rest of dear Lakewood,
Oh where did that pretty cat go?

We all looked for crafty Magellan,
Up and down streets, far and wide.
The only thing we all forgot was...
To look on a street's leftward side!

Magellan's back now, and we're happy!
The cat purrs with Callentine pride.
She sits with conservative splendor,
Quite still, at the left of Bret's side. :D

Bret,

Thanks for the kind words.

Glad your baby's back home!

poetic license, I guess.... :D

Back to the banjo... :D
