As a member of LakewoodAlive and a supporter I cannot speak for them, or really about them, as is outlined in their bylaws. You know trying to keep the message tight.

The hubbub was about many issues and the key to me was, that the group that claimed to be all about economic development in Lakewood, seemed to be turning its back on Lakewood businesses.

Today I find out there could be other issues coming to the forefront, but will go into those later.

The fact remains that Mikelann Rensel, Jack Gustin, David Shaw, Curt Brosky, Tim Lasky and others on the board are some of the best people for doing this. Others, are not so good, as seen by their track records, and need to take credit for things they had nothing to do with.

It is always best to make up your own mind. LakewoodAlive deserves your support, with a few caveats.

Right I agree. I do still support Lakewood Alive, but from what I have been reading I want to make sure things are going the way they should. I do think it is an issue that they didn't look at local designers first or even look at any other designers. And I do not think its an issue that they did not answer direct questions in the signage thread, since that might not have been the right place for it. However I think they messed up by not saying anything. I believe it was that more then anything that blew this out of hand. They should have told Sharon when she first asked that they did not have the time to answer every question but would offer the past financial reports. Instead she had to ask 3 or 4 times and was ignored until much later.

Once again thanks for clarification and I will be watching to see what comes of it. Please keep us up to speed.
