Apparently people missed my point, which I thought I stated multiple times.
I do not want to change anything. Just add a moderated section for 60 days or so with professional dialog only, to let the millions out there hear two sides of a story without having to filter through name calling and insults.
I want to keep the rest the same so I can call Sharron and Jim names and make rude comments

First off, if someone out there has an opinion but is afraid to stick by it and voice it on the record, then I encourage them to do so.
I've learned long ago from some good people that post on this forum that you really can't change other people's opinions regardless of how spotless of a case you make, so I've stopped trying.
This board to me seems more of a venting place for many users....and if people agree or disagree that's part of taking the risk. There's nothing I enjoy more than reading how others in the community feel about issues close to us.
You learn to look over the personal attacks and just read the content and what the person is trying to say. Even though I can't agree a lot of times with fellow users, there have been many times where I've sat and pondered others' points of view and came out of the dialogue a bit more understanding about the issue.
What you see on this forum just by the passion of posts is that the city of Lakewood has very passionate citizens that are shakers and movers...citizens that take issues very close to heart.
I think the reason for the personal attacks is that many feel robbed of eight years of their lives and the issues that are present for our country have become so personal that our arguments and posts become very personal too.
To moderate something like passionate dialogue is to put a pillow over a hungry crying baby's head. The cry will be heard somewhere by someone...regardless of how hard a person tries to mute it. We all are hungry for something, whether it's the hungry baby that wants food, the citizen that wants the right to have any dog that they want, the homeless man that just wants some kind of help, or the right to health care, or the right to have dialogue between neighbors free and unscripted. It's all relative and it's all positive, regardless of the negative sparks that may sometimes fly.
It's best to treat it all as water underneath the bridge.
Do we want our thoughts to be dictated by teleprompters? Our thoughts, feelings and opinions are the only real thing we humans can call our own..everything else can all disappear one day...
