Last year, our current mayor was one of the chief opponents of the 0.5% tax increase for people who work in LAKEWOOD. There would have been NO tax increase for those who already pay the 0.5% increment for working in Cleveland or other suburbs.

Now he proposes a GARBAGE COLLECTION TAX, .... I mean FEE, on all households.

I believe this is called BAIT AND SWITCH.

Point of clarification, Mr. Viglianco. I believe this thread was started with the suggestion of an idea to charge a fee for garbage collection. Maybe there was a misunderstanding but I don't believe that this is an official proposal at this point.
