You might not have gotten a ticket. The police we real busy the past couple days.

Next time call, could have done the drive and returned Vince's DVD.

Cathy

I agree with Danielle.

I would have gladly sent Mike and their snow blower over there.

Wow, great photo of that car.

Thanks for the offers, Jim and Danielle. It's good to know there's help out there when you need it.

I had a chance to go out this evening and was pretty impressed by some of the snow piles I saw on Detroit. If only we had a sled with us! I also searched high and low for a snow ban sign on our street. There is no such sign. And yet many of the cars had tickets. As I mentioned in my previous post, I completely understand the need to get cars out of the streets. It really only makes sense in crazy weather like this. But I talked to several people on our street and it seems we all independently drew the same conclusion - that the emergency parking ban does not include our street. It's not a main road, nor is it one of those especially narrow Lakewood roads.

Oh well. I'll have to remember to keep all this in mind for the great blizzard of 2011.

I'll have to check my street for a snow ban sign, but I sure wish there was, because it made it tough to get up and down the street ... when people did move their cars, no one shoveled or plowed the mess after they left, and people kept getting stuck! Hopefully enough of them will move their cars so that the plows can fully plow the road.
