The people at Liberty told me that they were closing because they "did not have the business". They also said their other store closed quite awhile ago and had nothing to do with the closing of this one.

Hmmm....the plot thickens!

According to the Free Times and the Plain Dealer, Lakewood has the highest concentration of vegetarians and vegans in Northeast Ohio. While the city lacks vegetarian dining options, Lakewood does have one of the largest health food stores on the west side of Cleveland: Nature's Bin, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Lakewood is also where the vegan presidential candidate and former mayor of Cleveland, Dennis Kucinich's headquarters are located

I will do my part to make sure Five Guys, Burgers and Fries makes it. If they are anywhere close to the quality of In 'N Out Burger in California, I will be a lifetime customer.

On a side note...interesting that Wikipedia does not note Dennis Kucinich as a congressman. Perhaps they have registered his absence from our district as well.

Your "R" is showing.

The Kucinichs, eat at India Garden, which has vegetarian and vegan food, and orders from LaPita and the Bin. Is very comfortable working out of Lakewood.

Don't believe the hype.

Last month I finally went on a field trip to Trader Joes.

The Bin, kicks their butts.

Took some time to look at things, and since have talked to Trader Joe customers. It would seem the single biggest draw is, "Cheap Wine."

Am I missing something?

Rice Chex reboxed as Trader Joe's Puffin brand ceral!

Eggo blueberry waffles reboxed as Trader Joe's Blueberry Toaster Waffles?

Dole Pineapples for $1.75 more than Giant Eagle?

Whatever.

The trick with TJ's is to know what to shop for. Their produce can be higher than other stores. Some things (frozen vegetables, coffee, olive oil, spaghetti) you can't beat their prices on. The real savings is on their private-labeled items.

Plus, you can't beat the 3-Buck Chuck!

I'd prefer it if Steinmart moved here, but my wallet wouldn't...

I get anxious for these new businesses moving in anymore. On my walk last night I noticed Majo's is also closed. I've heard raves about them around here somewhere. I guess not enough. It was sad to see the empty store where Candy Bouquet was as well.

Anybody been to that clothing store yet? 360 something? I haven't heard or seen any advertisements for the place. And unless I missed it driving by, I don't even see a sign.

It's 360 Clothing Studios. I'm not sure it's open yet. The building permits are still in the window.

Oh. I thought I heard they were open.

I did a search to see if they had a website. Came across this article. Not good.

Wow, very interesting. Why are they still in business?

That's one of those "things that make you go hmmmm."

The article is only from December, so maybe that's why they're not open yet. I won't shop there now, that's for sure. We could do without drug trafficking in Lakewood, and I certainly won't support their business. No second chances with that one.

You and me both. Drug trafficking AND counterfeiting? No thanks.

Positioned themselves right in the heart of downtown Lakewood where a ton of kids hang out.

They can hit the bricks. We don't want them here.
