HAARP's beam is extremely focused and covers an extremely minute portion of the ionosphere while transmitting. Also, the affected area returns to normal within minutes of transmission's end.

A lot of those sites out there also say that HAARP hasn't been transmitting in over a year, which isn't true. HAARP was just declared as fully operational in June.

Also, if HAARP was a 'weapon' like some believe, why would they have Open Houses and take people on tours of the facility? Wouldn't they keep that under wraps?

Edit: Here's the HAARP SATSIN manual.

While you all rip on Kucinich I would like to extend my condolences and prayers to the Kucinich Family, who lost Perry Kucinich this morning.

Perry was the youngest brother of Dennis.

In the end, we are all human. We live, we die. You may not agree with anyone and disagree with everyone, but one thing we all have in common is that we grieve when we lose a loved one.

Igor -

Not all of us have been ripping on him.

I am so sorry that the family has had to go through this.

From what I understand, Dennis has always been a very good, responsible big brother.

Blessings and peace.

Our family's thoughts and prayers too, go out to Dennis and his family for the memory of his brother.

Words simply are not enough at these times.

Dennis, just know that we share in your suffering. Many of us have lost loved ones. Know that you are not alone in your grief.

I firmly believe that God too, suffers with us, and will give us the strength to endure the unendurable.

You were there for my family. Please know that many are there in spirit, for your own.

Jim/Dl -

Would it be possible to move the information related to Perry Kucinich's death to a new thread?

It seems terribly sad to have condolences posted on a thread named as this one is.

Congressman Kucinich has done great damage to this community and its people.

His fight for MUNY light was silly. His argument was that having MUNY light resell electricity saves the consumer money. MUNY light can offer electric at lower rates because it generates no electric power and is tax exempt. If you want CEI to offer 10% lower rates make them tax exempt and insist they pass they savings on the to the customer. How do you make up the billion dollars in lost taxes? Ask Dennis.

Dennis was AWOL in the fight for the defense office jobs, City officials had to go to Akron to get any action.

Across the Middle East there is a new awakening. People are actually fighting for democracy and freedom instead of the right to slit the throats of each others children. Where is Dennis in this battle? On the side of the throat slitters. see:

http://beirut2bayside.blogspot.com/2007 ... nifil.html

Anyway, this post is about Dennis Kucinich's lack of interest in his district. He treats this district like a potentate treats his third favorite concubine.

Some are satisfied with this treatment I am not.

I couldn't agree less.

On the side of the throat slitters!

What is the single biggest problem facing America and the 10th District today?

How ironic the timing of your post.

There's an old, old saying-

That you are either part of the problem, or part of the solution in this world.

Up to a point, I've always tried to find common ground in a discussion, hoping (at times against hope) that at some point, the banjos and guitars will finally come out for that last rousing chorus of "Kumbayah".

However, there is also that point in our lives when, backed up against the wall, we will indeed rise and defend our friends, our principles, and what we believe to be our rights, and the rights of humanity.

The hatred that some have shown in the last 6 years in this country is revealing. Fear-mongering, name calling, put-downs, and polarizations in the name of...... (what, exactly?) have brought our country to the verge of being split apart into irreconcilable camps.

That this has all filtered into the 'deck at times is not surprising.

A number of ideologies have often run roughshod over humanity; in pursuit of their vague, malignant goals.

I truly believe that more people need to learn to simply state their own case, without slamming the words of others.

Even if people are wrong, they have a right to be wrong in their political beliefs.

Those who support Dennis Kucinich's election to the Presidency, or to Congress, have the right to do so.

People in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are being killed by Bashar al-Assad and people like him. Our people in Congress can choose to stand by those fighting for freedom or to stand by those who kill them or to just stand by. Dennis has chosen to stand by the killers.

I didn't send Dennis to Syria to kiss the bloody hand of Bashar al-Assad, he went there of his own free will. Note that he chose not to meet with democracy advocates or American soldiers he chose to meet the man who kills them.

In any case this post is not really about the congressman's choice of friends, it's about his failure to represent his district.

I believe that there's a big difference between opening channels for dialogue, and actually "supporting" someone with whom we disagree.

Our senators and representatives talk with all types of people, all the time. Fact-finding is part of what they do.

As people have written, there are many who feel that Congressman Kucinich has indeed represented our district very well in the past.

November 2008, will tell the tale as to whether he will continue to represent us in the future.

Bill

I did not realize you knew first hand they were friends. I had thought Congressman Kucinich was merely going to the source of the trouble, and talking, yeas talking first hand. I realize that it is not the Bush Plan of alienating and threatening everyone, but I guess you see no sense in talking to people.

As for this district, I think Congressman Kucinich has done far more than anyone would have that ran against him. I like Barb Ferris, however, I do not see her challenging the Federal Reserve over feeding bogus lending practices.

I do not see them keeping Social Security here in Lakewood.

I do not see them questioning the single biggest problem/nightmare/quagmire in American history, the illegal and fraudulent war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But maybe you do not see the financial black hole called the Bush Administration as insane.
