There are so many awesome businesses involved in this I think the few that passed will be sorry when they see the outcome!!! I don't want to be negative during such a positive event, but I have to express my extreme disappointment in Dan Malley not even returning calls for this event. Malley's is open anyway and it would have cost him nothing unless he wanted to discount cones for the kids coming out as a thank you to the community. It saddens me when some business owners don't want to be part of a community event. His loss but please enjoy the pastries at Coffee Pot instead!!!!!!! Please patronize the businesses that give back here even when they have little to give!!!!

Tonight is the night for Lakewood to shine in the world of Cleveland and Lakewood Artists.
I would hope everyone turns out that can make it.
I would personally like to thank Justine Cooper, and all the members of MAMA, for helping in this. Those that know Justine, know what a powerhouse of positive energy she is. She is gold.
Ruthie Koenigsmark, and the many members of Lakewood Is Art, that are working to define the entire city of Lakewood as an Arts City. Ruthie is gold, and has partnered with her husband and myself on the Car Kulture Show, with others at the Pasta Fiesta, and other Lakewood events.
Barbara Michel, another member of LIA that has shown unbelievable talents at organizing, staging, and getting events going. Again gold.
Lakewood has always been about involvement, and these three volunteers, are some of the most involved I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
What makes me happy today, is these are groups are founded by individuals, that are 100% about making Lakewood better. They ask for no money from City Hall, just cooperation. They ask for no money from residents, just participation. They take no credit for what they do not do, but only ask that you enjoy, what they do and bring to the city.
This is Lakewood's Future, and it is very, very bright.
Thank you to everyone, involved in these projects, and wait till you see what they have planned for 2008.
Let the party begin!
