Please do not equate this to a rape case.

Legality, morality and common decency aside - what the heck are you talking about?

I am talking about posters accusing people and telling detailed stories with names attached...and you bring up rape?

To take your bait...I am not a lawyer but I'm sure something exists about releasing names of people until accused (some people actually release names of the accused). What if he released your name as the rapist? Would that have been okay with you? Can only the Mayor release names? You are the keeper of backroom names and dealings - did you know the name of a rapist and not release it?

And yes, I want names, always. (still waiting on some people to release names. wink. wink.)

All of your comments are over the top.
But I would not moderate them.

We were talking about releasing information, not rape. Take your hyperbole,
out and you will see exactly what I was pointing out.

Corey, what backroom dealings? You have some fantasy in your head that is not true.

This has nothing to do with backroom dealings, but it does have to do with psychopaths and legal solutions.
Oh let me do Corey, "Oh and you bring up backroom dealings..." yawn

Remember when you were on the Corey soapbox "if people are really worried go to the police..."

Then you carry on like a petulant brat when people do what you told them to
and listened to the police over your pleadings, for your own satisfaction.

Dude, you give advice, people listen, and then you have a hissy fit?

You should be proud so many listened and came forward.

You are beyond ridiculous. To answer the foremost question of this thread - YES, "your (Jim O'Bryan's) Deck is mean spirited and not open to dialogue." You answered your own question.

For the record, if facts must be put in place about the online bullying from a thread a month ago that you are referencing...you told me that the person had contacted the police before I even mentioned it (so they acted before my petulant brat self said anything at all) and that there was a lot of action going on behind the scenes (or backroom) that I and others were not aware of.

Now you are changing the timeline to make up some lying point? Keep it straight - it must be hard to remember all the yarn you spin. So, my friend, you are wrapping your own little lie. Remember, these are the words you told me in the ever-so friendly tone you took with me. According to you, back then, it was a done deal before I ever typed a word (and now you are saying they took my advice - you're hilarious). Your hissy fit is out of control.

I thought my post, back then, was dialogue which you are now calling a soapbox. I guess all posts, comments and opinions can be considered both by the viewer.

I am over the top? I believe the true "shock jock" lives in Lakewood and goes by the handle of Jim O'Bryan. Howard Stern has nothing on you, my friend.

Peace (until you read this and have a hissy fit),
Corey

No Corey I did not answer the question. I answered the question as it pertains to ME, not
the Deck, not other people. It is just like real life, we have to be responsible for what we
say. So in doing so, a person judges themselves on what should be said. Not other people.
The Deck is an intimate object, with zero group think. Anything else is a false projection
why we call it the Observer, much can be gained by other people's projections.

I am always amused that so many in this town worry more about telling people what to
say or not to say, then the conversation.

Is it my time for a hissy fit?

OK,

Read your post, it is spectacular.

I'm the shock jock?

Read your posts in this thread, then read your last post.

Not making a point, just an observation. Troll on.

Yes I can be mean spirited.

It would be nice if you guys could work this out in person and spare us witness to such foolishness.

Amy -

Three or fours years ago I would have agreed with your above statement ... but after a number of years here reading thousands of posts and comments and responses, I now agree with LO co-founder, Ken Warren, who said "we give everyone enough rope to hang themselves. People can say whatever they want."

Sometimes, it's not so much that "a picture is worth a thousand words," but rather, "a thousand words can paint quite a picture."

Time for a Gary Rice "Kumbaya" sing-a-log. Cue the banjo player.
