This Memorial Day, I took a short break by one of our many American icons while thinking about
all that we have, thanks to the thousands who have signed up and served. Thank you all.

But today we hold close to our hearts the ones that have died. So take a minute, and think what is all means to you.

12 minutes of the Emerald Canyon Bald Eagle Family, eating and cavorting around.

Grab a cup of coffee, site back and relax before starting your work day. It's what I do.

The baby is as big as the adults, and is taking on the characteristics of Baby Huey. It is growing faster
than it can mentally keep up with. In a little more than a week it went from chicken size to turkey size!

Enjoy.

A fun video of the Emerald Canyon fledgling Bald Eaglet, trying so hard to fly.

Finally Dad brings a fish, Mom joins in, and the party begins.

The Bald Eaglet makes itself lighter than tries to fly, and finally makes its first couple steps
out of the safety of the nest up to a branch.

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy.

Grab a cup off coffee or tea, sit back and spend 10 minutes watching one of the wonders of nature.

Three months ago he was the size of a baby chick. Today 6' wingspan, and desperately trying to make
its wings work, he spends the better part of ten minutes flapping and trying, and if you watch closely
you will see it eventually get some lift from those wings.

I doubt that the Bald Eaglet will be around past the 4th of July. So enjoy it while you can.

All of these are in High Definition, so check them out on your TV too!

Well the Bald Eaglet has fledged and left the nest. Mom and Dad stop back share and meal and then
off they go until next year. This is her 5 eaglet I believe so that is a lot of eagles in the area.

Empty Nesters

So that is it from the Emerald Canyon Bald Eagle nest.

Until next January.

One of the Eagles flew/floated over the shoreline just as the 4th of July parade was kicking off, lot of people were just staring up in the sky watching it catch the wind currents.

Someone had a camera with nice lens on it and was trying to capture it circling and get the American flag on the Maple Cliff pole all in the same shot. Don't know if he got it.
