Newer article showing what causes what the coroner stated martin's liver had. "drank" causes liver damage at a faster rate than just regular alcohol. Not sure why the libs are so stuck thinking this punk was some innocent victim.

How stupid can someone be? The Internet is full of all sorts of crap and apparently some people cannot discern a legitimate site from one pretending to be. It is full of right wing nut jobs posting all sorts of patently false information. One need only have a modicum of basic intelligence to weed out fact from fiction, but apparently Ryan, you are so partisan that you cannot see beyond your own little worldview and you need someone to spoon feed you all the conspiracy theories and innuendo that reinforce those views.

Link to the autopsy report on Martin. NO abnormality of liver although many web sites claim the report showed he had liver damage from DMX. NOT TRUE.

The only drug found in his system was THC. So he smoked some pot. Should he die for that? The rightwing smear sites claim he was hopped up on drugs and aggressive. Most people I know who use Marijuana are, like, laid back, man.

No offense, but I suspect you're reading into the ME report. I read it (including the bottom of page 3), and have some professional knowledge in the area (degrees, teaching, etc.) I don't say this to try and pull the "expert" card, but to put my remarks in context.

There is nothing in the report on Mr. Martin's liver that would lead someone to believe he was abusing the concoction you describe. The links you provide discuss acute fatty liver metamorphosis, which is usually seen after years or decades of alcohol abuse, obesity, or other causes. The condition of Mr. Martin's liver is nowhere near relevant to the links provided.

Thanks for joining the conversation. I am reading into the report. I am reading into it after reading trayvons posts and tweets also referencing lean. Lean is known to cause those issues with the liver. Is it just coincidence that he had two of the 3 ingredients, after talking about it a lot in the past? It could be, but generally the simplest answer is the correct one.

I could definitely be wrong but it sure appears pot wasn't the only drug trayvon used. Have a great weekend.

Not to pile on, but I am still wondering 1) How Trayvon popped up in this thread? 2) Why

Are you saying Trayvon deserved to be shot because he used drugs? Are you saying that
Trayvon committed some act deserving of being shot because he was on drugs?

The laws of Florida that surround this episode are ridiculous at best, and completely
prosecutable.

Trayvon, to my knowledge was not doing anything wrong.

I can understand many of the comments made by George Zimmerman, and do not have
to read all of them as racist, or over the top, when given in context. The complex did have
a rash of break-ins attributed to black youth.

HOWEVER George Zimmerman had no reason to shoot him. And if that reason was bridged
it was brought on by George Zimmerman. He was told not to follow, not to confront, police
were on there way.

Now back to "LEAN" from the Urban Dictionary:

Hardly sounds like a person that could be a threat. Certainly not the abilities of a person
saying doing Crank, Crack, or PCP. Matter of fact seems like the kind of effects that would
allow you to push the person over with a finger. Had he been smoking the "weed" I could
see where Trayvon would have been aggravated at not being able to enjoy the skittles, and
or even paranoia that he might be robbed of the Skittles, but violence. No.

Urban Dictionary's Second meaning of "Lean"
Lean is an expression given to any noun which is pure, trustworthy and generally not full of shit. Derived from the term to describe a non-fatty piece of steak, lean can be extended to describe a person for example. "That guy is lean bro", meaning he is not full of shit and he is a cool guy.
An important feature of this definition is that one cannot claim lean upon themselves. One cannot say that their own stuff is lean, or that they are lean them-self. Lean can only be given, bestowed or honored to a person, place or thing... ya hear me?

Again, the whole deal is unfortunate for everyone involved. Had there been no gun, both

The difference being they are trying to raise him up to sainthood for being a drug abusing, fighting thug that had ample time to go home but instead hid and fought Zimmerman. Was Zimmerman stupid for getting out of his car? Yep, did he break any laws? Nope.

People keep bringing up stand your ground laws but if you paid any attention to the trial that law was not used to "get him off with murder" self defense was used. If you have someone on top of you forcing your head to get pound into the concrete you have a right and a duty to protect yourself. It is a tragedy that this young man died. If he would have called 911 or just gone home in the 4 minutes he had this would not have happened either.

I did not get dragged into this discussion in Global, and really do not want to get dragged into it now.

To say "Stand Your round" was not used, is slightly false. Most had heard of it before with
many of the other cases, where white(?), Black(?) and Brown(?) go off. This was not a
unique case in Florida. It was also mentioned by the defense and the judge in final
directions and summary, though not used as a defense.

With the way the laws reads it borders on a JOKE. State of mind? Who is ever to say
except the victim. Somehow they ended up on the ground, some how there was a scuffle,
some how the entire episode escalated. But there is no joy, no winners just a bunch of
losers in this. A young man, or for that matter an old one should not meet death, when all
they have in the pockets is Skittles.

But to me it underlies many problems in this country. My issues center around the gun,
and a hideous joke of a law, and a society that divides his tragedy into color with
scorecards and other incendiary BS. No matter how you shake up the color spectrum, or
even lifestyle, gender or drugs/alcohol (as they are one in the same). Trayvon, or "Peter"
or "John Wentworth" the 3rd, did not deserve to die that night.

Sidenote: Just so you can better understand my point, and to some extent my dislike of the
media on this. When George Zimmerman was stopped the other day with a gun, I have no
idea why they blew up as big as it did. He had a gun permit. The first thing he did was tell
the officer he had a gun in the glove box. Those who say he "has to from the trial" are
once again playing another version of the race card. He did not have to carry one the night
of Trayvon's death, and he does not need one now. And if he does it is only because we do
not have any concept of what gun control should be, and how we can all live safer.

But that is for another topic another day.

Stand your ground means you do not have to retreat, when you are pinned to the ground there is no option to retreat therefore self defense is the only law used to justify deadly force. Those that are trying to reverse these laws based on this case either haven't paid attention or are ignoring the facts to fit their agenda. I tend to believe it is the latter.

I have seen enough john wayne and james cagney films to know it is ideal enough to for people to get into fist fights without shooting each other. If Trayvon was just some Florida-type white teenage nuisance, and the outcome was the same, many supporters of George Zimmerman would not be so emotionally invested in this case. These supporters are just using Trayvon as a stand-in for every other teenage nuisance of american african origins who has ever aggravated them.
