First report from the concert...

Smashing success! Thank you if you were able to attend. Dad got through the conducting just fine without falling over, which was no small feat for this WWII vet. The young musicians were tremendous, and the middle school bands combined with the high school's wind ensemble for a dynamic conclusion to the evening.

The American Veterans Last Salute March was performed flawlessly by the combined bands.

Between Harding's Mr. Harris, Garfield's Mrs. Tabaj, LHS's Mr. Maskow, and my dad, Robert Rice, there was probably close to 100 years of combined music educator experience assisting our students this evening,

Lakewood's music program ROCKS! :D

Or, to the point of this thread....It's JAZZY TOO!!!!!! :D

Back to that battle drum with the handle on it...I MEAN THE BANJO!!! :D
