Jim - I have heard from Matt Markling that you use several different software packages to get some od these effects. Do you mind sharing them?

Chris

I mainly use Simply HDR, Snapspeed, Photo Wizard, Art Studio.

Art Studio is amazing, nearly everything photoshop offers.

From there it becomes tinkering and time.

The general process is, pushing images to the edge, which destroys information, then building back the color.
Most of the iphone apps destroy information when you sharpen, and stylize, so I keep the original handy, and destroy
and build back, destroy and build back. Almost like whittling. Great for on the porch.

There is a trio of products from the company that makes Arista Oils, that you can use for effects like in the turtle,
then I take it into Art Studio to mask and build the image I am thinking of.

I am thinking of starting a column on how to paint with phones, we shall see.
