The U.S. is in the precarious position of pretending to not be at war with Russia and pretending to be at war with Russia at the same time.

I cannot keep up with the strategery.

The rhetoric the two main political parties and their attendant pundits use to compete with each other is complete nonsense. Since this competition is for American votes, American voters are equally valuable.

China outclasses the United States and Europe combined.

The Middle East is a perpetual powder keg.

Pakistan is an unreliable ally at best. Al Queda liked hanging out there even more than in Afghanistan.

The best strategy would have been spending the last twenty years trying to get along with Russia. I cannot think of a second best strategy.

They are confusing the American audience: most of them would associate the word ‘liberal’ with the words ‘black’ or ‘gay’.

The nominal Left has been more militant than the nominal Right for the last three years. This can lead to wasting time trying to define the nominal Left and the nominal Right. If not for the sake of intellectual clarity, then at least for marketing and campaigning.

The bi-partisan premise is that the U.S. will not really have to pay for any of it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zoxj-LSeU0o
