As an aside, has anyone noticed that the signs are smaller in Ward 3?

It was a warning sign that a crosswalk is ahead. They might as well have taken it down ... in this town, people see pedestrians getting ready to use the crosswalk and hit the gas so they don't have to stop.

Two signs from this past week (not related to the pictures of bicycles painted on the street):
This one's from Mini Mart. Not sure what was going on there.

I mean I know Cleveland rocks, of course. I heard a rumor that the Presidents of the USA were playing the halftime show of the Browns opener-- but I believe it was false. Ian Hunter is playing at Kent State this month.
Still doesn't explain what was going on at the Lakewood Mini Mart.
Further down the street, in front of my favorite Root/Lion and Blue/Exchange strip--- this note, attached to the scaffolding-- not sure whether they're rebuilding the front of the Exchange where the car crashed through the window, or the perpetual rebuild going on upstairs at the Root-- but this one seems kind of cruel. I'm sure those brick layers are hungry, and the Root is right there with the best egg sandwiches in the universe.

Back to Sunday morning.
Heading to Cleveland. Need to do some rocking.

Leaving the Lakewood Arts Festival when I got to Woodward and Detroit I thought that either the City of Lakewood had gotten into a promotion with Streat Burger, or was evening the burger field on the corner.
As you can see the Stree Burger Logo is lit Red, Yellow, Green dots...
and the traffic light at the intersection had all three lit!
But by this morning...
No promotion, no evening the field, just broken lights!
Of course what I thought was a sign, could be a sign!

That's OK, they can come to our park and enjoy the fireworks. We always have a great show and lots of friendly folks to converse with.
P.S. Maybe have a couple of drinks before you go, just don't drive!

These monster size signs (nearly 30" in diameter) are getting a lot of attention on Madison Avenue. If you're looking for parking you'll appreciate them.
