Pet Blessing/Food Drive Saturday

Saturday is "World Animal Day", which falls on the Feast of St. Francis of Assissi.
Many of Lakewood's volunteer pet groups have come together to host events at Lakewood Dog Park from Noon to 3pm.

There will be a pet food collection drive from noon to 3pm.
Collected items will go to "My Best Friend's Bowl", the volunteer group that distributes pet food to needy families here in Lakewood. Here is a story I did on them last year:

There will also be a Pet Blessing at 1pm by Deacon Danny Bryan.

THere will be a raffle to benefit CCLAS, the group that supports the Lakewood Animal Shelter.
You can also purchase memberships and SWAG to benefit Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park.
